What is a Contingency Fee?

At Middagh Law, P.L.L.C., we accept insurance related matters on a contingency fee basis, meaning you only pay us legal fees if we obtain a recovery in your case.  This arrangement is an excellent way for clients to seek quality legal representation without worrying about paying attorney fees upfront.

How does a contingency fee contract work?:
• Before signing a contingency fee contract, we will review the Statement of Client’s Rights for Contingency Fees with you and ensure you know your rights under our contingency fee contract.
• If we accept your case, in writing, we will agree on a contingency fee percentage for our legal fees.
• We will advance all expenses associated with your case. You do not have to pay anything upfront.
• If your case settles or we win in a trial, then your legal fees will be deducted as per the agreed upon percentage from your final award.
• If we do not win your case in a trial, you do not owe any legal fees to us.

If you have any questions about how contingency fees work or if you would like to learn more about how our office can help you, feel free to contact us.  Our office is dedicated to fighting for our client’s policy rights. We have our main office in Miami but we serve clients throughout Florida.
